Riftbound Radiance release date and products

Radiance, the fifth Riftbound set, releases on 23 October. The dates, the new champions, the Ultimate Rare, every product and the Riot store drawing.
Radiance is the fifth Riftbound set and the last one of 2026. It releases on 23 October, previews start next week, and the Riot store drawing for booster boxes opens on the same day as the previews.
Here is everything Riot has confirmed so far, and what I am planning to do about it.
The dates
- 25 September, 3pm PT. Preview season opens with a developer panel at RQ Los Angeles. Game director Dave Guskin, lead designer Jon Moormann, creative director Brice Cox and art director Michelle Mauk are showing new cards. It is being recorded for YouTube if you cannot watch live.
- 25 to 30 September. Sign-ups for the Riot Merch Store booster box drawing.
- 5 October. Drawing winners start getting emails.
- 9 October. Previews end.
- 16 to 22 October. Pre-Rift events at local game stores.
- 23 October. Release day.
Those come from Riot's products and sets post and the Radiance merch store update. An older roadmap had different dates, 21 September for previews and 16 to 18 October for Pre-Rift, so if you saw those somewhere, the ones above are the newer ones.
What is in the set
Riot says Radiance is 180 cards, 66 of them Showcase.
The new champions confirmed so far are Seraphine, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Ekko and Evelynn, with four more to be revealed during previews.
Seraphine has technically already appeared. Keria picked her for the T1 Worlds Champion collection, and Riot noted at the time that the card comes from Radiance and would not be tournament legal until the set released. So on 23 October, Keria's pick becomes a playable card.
The part I am most curious about is the Ultimate Rare. Riot has confirmed Radiance will have one and has deliberately said nothing else. A new rarity at the top of the ladder is exactly the kind of card that sets the price of a whole booster box, so I expect it to be one of the first things everyone looks for at the preview panel.
The products
- Booster packs and Booster Displays. A display is 24 packs.
- Showdown Decks: Seraphine vs. Evelynn. Two ready-to-play decks built to be played against each other. The distributor listing describes two 56-card decks, two booster packs, two playmats and a rulebook, at $34.99 MSRP.
- Vault Bundle. Retailer listings describe six Radiance boosters, 36 basic runes and three foil promo tokens. Riot has not published a price.
- Pre-Rift kits, for the launch events at stores.
Riot has not published a price for the Radiance display yet. For reference, the Vendetta display on the Riot store was $119.99 or €127.99 plus shipping, so I would expect something close to that.
How to get a box from the Riot store
Radiance displays on the Riot Merch Store are sold by drawing, not first come first served. North America and Europe only, and one display per person.
- Sign up between 25 and 30 September, before 9am PT on the 30th, on the Riot Merch Store. Entering is free.
- Winners get an email from 5 October. It contains a purchase link.
- You have 24 hours to check out. Miss it and the box goes to someone else.
- Orders start shipping on 23 October.
The most important thing is to make sure you can actually log into your Riot account and that emails from riotgames.com are not going to spam, before you enter. I wrote a longer guide on how the Riftbound store drawings work, including what went wrong in the T1 draw and how to avoid being caught up in it.
Pre-Rift
Pre-Rift is the launch weekend-and-a-bit at your local game store, from 16 to 22 October, a week before release. It is the earliest you can open Radiance, and it is usually the most fun, because everyone at the table is seeing the cards for the first time together. Ask your store now whether they are running one, because seats tend to go early.
What I am doing
I will enter the drawing on day one, because a display at store price beats paying launch-week markup. I will watch the preview panel on the 25th, mostly for the Ultimate Rare. And I will be at a Pre-Rift, because opening a new set with other people is the best part of this hobby.
When the full card list is out, every Radiance card will go on RiftPocket with its artwork and, once it is selling, its price, the same as every other set list. If you want the other big dates around it, my Riftbound release calendar has everything from now until 2027 in one place.
