Riftbound release calendar for 2026 and 2027
· 5 min read · by Daniel
Every Riftbound date I could confirm from Riot in one calendar: Radiance, store drawings, the T1 Player Bundle, championships and the 2027 sets.
I kept losing track of Riftbound dates. One is in a roadmap post from June, another is buried in an organized play update, a third turns up in a merch store announcement a week before it happens. So I put everything I could confirm from Riot in one place.
Every date below links back to the Riot post it came from. Where Riot has not announced something yet, I say so rather than guess. I will keep this page updated as new dates land, and the date at the top tells you when I last checked.
Riot's own dates do move, so check the linked post before you book travel or set an alarm.
The next few weeks
| Date | What | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 18 September | Riftbound launches in Korea, starting with Origins | Korea |
| 25 September, 3pm PT | Radiance preview season opens with a developer panel | RQ Los Angeles, recorded for YouTube |
| 25 to 27 September | RQ Los Angeles, the last Regional Qualifier of 2026 | Los Angeles Convention Center |
| 25 to 30 September, 9am PT | Sign up for the Radiance Booster Display drawing | Riot Merch Store, NA and EU |
| 5 October | Radiance drawing winners start getting emails | Riot Merch Store |
| 9 October | Radiance previews end | Riot |
| October, date not announced | T1 Worlds Champion Player Bundle drawing | Riot Merch Store |
| 16 to 22 October | Radiance Pre-Rift events | Local game stores |
| 23 October | Radiance releases, and drawing orders start shipping | Everywhere |
The rest of 2026
| Date | What | Where |
|---|---|---|
| 6 to 8 November | European Regional Championship | Messe Stuttgart, Germany |
| 4 December | Gift of the Rift Bundle | Game stores and mass retail |
| 11 to 13 December | North American Regional Championship | Convergence Fest, Las Vegas |
| Mid December | First Legacy previews, at Convergence Fest | Riot |
One oddity worth knowing: Riot's championship post puts Convergence Fest on 11 to 13 December, while its product post says 13 to 15 December. I would not book flights around the Legacy previews until Riot tidies that up.
2027
| Date | What |
|---|---|
| January, after the Convergence Fest reveal | More Legacy previews |
| 22 to 28 January | Legacy Pre-Rift events |
| 29 January | Set 6: Legacy releases |
| 19 February | Proving Grounds, 2nd Edition |
| 23 to 29 April | The Reckoning Pre-Rift events |
| 30 April | Set 7: The Reckoning releases |
| Q3 2027 | Set 8, a Bandle City set, name not final |
| Q4 2027 | Set 9, no details yet |
| Not announced | The first Riftbound World Championship |
All of the 2027 dates come from Riot's products and sets post from August.
What each release actually is
Radiance is set five. 180 cards, 66 of them Showcase, with Seraphine, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Ekko and Evelynn among the new champions and four more still to be revealed. It also introduces an Ultimate Rare, which Riot has confirmed exists and deliberately not shown yet. The products are booster packs and displays, a pair of Showdown Decks (Seraphine against Evelynn), a Vault Bundle and Pre-Rift kits. I wrote up everything about Radiance and how to get a box separately.
The T1 Player Bundle is the cheaper, playable version of the T1 Signature Edition: the same five player-picked cards with different art, plus sleeves, a deckbox, a binder and a metal die, for $70. I have a separate post on it.
Gift of the Rift is the holiday bundle: 16 booster packs across all five sets (four of them Radiance), 36 runes, an alternate art Akali promo, 100 sleeves and a storage box. English and Chinese. No price yet.
Legacy is the big one. 346 cards, 93 Showcase, with new champion cards for Ashe, Garen, Heimerdinger, Illaoi, Karma, Lux, Tryndamere and Vladimir among others. It comes with four Champion Decks (Tryndamere, Ashe, Lux and Garen), and there is special art inspired by League Classic.
It also changes the packs. From Legacy onwards, one Common slot in every booster becomes a slot that is either a Legend or a Battlefield, roughly half and half. If you are a collector chasing specific Legends, that is the most important sentence on this page.
Proving Grounds, 2nd Edition is the new starter box. $40, four ready-to-play champion decks (Heimerdinger, Karma, Vladimir and Illaoi), four oversized battlefields, four playmats and score trackers. English, Chinese, French and Korean.
The Reckoning is set seven, themed around the huge ancient champions: 264 cards, 67 Showcase, with Aurelion Sol, Cho'Gath, Shyvana, Vayne and Zilean among them, and Champion Decks for Shyvana and Vayne.
Organized play is changing too
If you play in events rather than just collect, the August State of Play matters:
- Summoner Skirmish ends after Radiance. The last ones stop giving byes and get bigger prizes instead. Byes you already earned stay valid through 2027.
- Riftbound Challenge Series replaces Skirmish as the first competitive step at your local store.
- Nexus Cup is a new monthly store tournament that is about playing, not ladder points.
- Regional Qualifiers become Riftbound Regionals, three or four per set.
- Regional Championships become Riftbound Continentals, three-day events in four big cities, with an open qualifier on day one.
- Store events move from Carde.io to playriftbound.com from 14 September.
How I am keeping this current
I check Riot's news page and the merch store updates every week and change this page when something moves. If you spot a date here that Riot has since changed, tell me through the contact form and I will fix it the same day.
In the meantime, if you are deciding what to open when Radiance lands, the most valuable Riftbound cards page shows what the chase cards from the current sets are actually selling for, and every set list is there if you are filling a binder.
